ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Wes Moore today visited the Eastern Shore for the 2024 Maryland Association of Counties Conference in Ocean City. Joined by Moore-Miller Administration cabinet secretaries, the governor met with local elected leaders and MACo leadership while attending numerous events at the conference. This trip marks the governor’s 20th visit to the Eastern Shore.
“Our administration is data-driven and heart-led. That’s why we've been able to work together to invest in proven programs that move Maryland forward – and ones that matter most to Marylanders,”
said Gov. Moore. “The road ahead will be tough, but after connecting with so many of our partners at this conference, I know we have what it takes to secure Maryland’s future and win the decade.”
The Maryland Association of Counties, known as MACo, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that represents all Maryland counties and Baltimore City, promoting effective and efficient government through collaboration. Through the association’s advocacy, training, education programs, and annual conferences, members are provided with opportunities to improve their capacity to serve their residents; it is the only organization serving the needs of county elected officials and governments across the state.
This morning, the governor walked the MACo expo hall where he engaged with booths from state agencies, municipalities, and businesses.
Following the tour, the governor attended MACo’s Board of Governors meeting and then rounded out the day by greeting conference attendees at the annual MACo Crab Feast, featuring seafood, live music and entertainment.
On Saturday, Governor Moore will deliver the keynote address during the conference’s closing session. A livestream to view the speech is available
