ANNAPOLIS, MD — Governor Wes Moore and First Lady Dawn Moore yesterday welcomed Marylanders to Government House to celebrate the holiday season.
“Dawn and I were incredibly grateful to welcome Marylanders to Government House for the holidays,” said Gov. Moore. “To meet so many of you, representing every corner of our state, was truly an honor. Your presence brought tremendous light and spirit into our home.”
“The holiday open house is one of our most cherished traditions each year,” said First Lady Moore. “When we first arrived, the governor and I made a commitment to ensure that Marylanders saw themselves in the “People’s House.” The home is a symbol for all Marylanders, and we have been truly honored to welcome so many through its doors during this holiday season.”
Nearly 800 guests joined the governor and first lady to enjoy holiday decorations, cookies, and music provided by local schools and organizations, including ensembles from the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School Choir, the Bethesda High School Orchestra, the Northern Chesapeake Symphony Orchestra, the Maryland Hall Choir, the Old Mill Middle School South Jazz Band, and the Roland Park Country School Semiquavers.
