ANNAPOLIS, MD — Governor Moore released the following statement regarding the Supreme Court’s ruling in 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis:

“Everyone should be able to live and love as who they are. Our nation is strongest when we embrace one another and respect the equality of all people. Today’s Supreme Court decision cuts against that principle.

In Maryland, we stand for dignity, freedom, and respect. Here, we choose to celebrate all identities and backgrounds. We must stay true to our commitment to build a state where we leave no one behind. We know that our diversity is our strength.

Nobody should have to justify their own humanity. We will continue working with our partners in the LGBTQIA+ community to ensure that in Maryland, everyone can be their truest self.”
