Will Promote Maryland Industries at Arab Health, Cybertech Conferences
ANNAPOLIS, MD—Lt. Governor Boyd K. Rutherford will lead an economic development trade mission to the United Arab Emirates and Israel from January 24 – February 2, 2020, with engagements in Dubai and Tel Aviv. The lieutenant governor’s mission will focus on promoting Maryland’s global reputation as a leader in the healthcare and cybersecurity industries.
Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Arab Health 2020
Lt. Governor Rutherford, the Maryland Department of Commerce, and numerous Maryland health companies will be attending the Arab Health 2020 Conference in Dubai. The lieutenant governor will deliver remarks touting Maryland’s strength in the healthcare, biohealth, and life sciences industries to a global audience. Arab Health is one of the largest healthcare exhibitions in the world, attracting more than 50,000 attendees from nearly 160 different countries. This is the seventh year that the State of Maryland has exhibited at the trade show, showcasing the state’s healthcare assets and promoting local small to mid-sized companies.
Tel Aviv, Israel: Cybertech Conference
Lt. Governor Rutherford will also deliver remarks marketing Maryland to Israeli and international cybersecurity companies during the 6th annual Cybertech Conference in Tel Aviv. Cybertech is Israel’s most renowned international cybersecurity conference and exhibition, and is expected to attract nearly 15,000 industry executives, entrepreneurs, investors and government officials from more than 80 countries.
