Governor Larry Hogan Announces Judicial Appointments
Fills Vacancies in Montgomery and Howard Counties, Baltimore City
ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Larry Hogan today announced the appointments of John Joseph Kuchno to the Howard County Circuit Court, Christopher Curtis Fogleman to the Montgomery County Circuit Court, and LaTina Burse Greene to the Baltimore City District Court. The governor made the appointments after interviewing nominees sent by the judicial nominating commissions for each jurisdiction.
“The appointment of qualified individuals to serve across our state’s justice system is paramount to upholding our responsibilities to the citizens of Maryland and the rule of law,” said Governor Hogan. “I have confidence that Mr. Kuchno, Mr. Fogleman, and Ms. Greene will be strong advocates for the law and will serve the citizens of their respective jurisdictions and the State of Maryland admirably.”
John Joseph Kuchno has worked as senior counsel in the Civil Litigation Division at the Office of the Attorney General since December 2011, after serving as an assistant attorney general assigned to the State Retirement and Pension System. Before joining the Attorney General’s Office, Mr. Kuchno worked at several prominent law firms, including DLA Piper and Kramon & Graham, P.A. He received his B.S. from the University of Maryland, College Park, summa cum laude, and his J.D. from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law.
Christopher Curtis Fogleman has worked as an attorney with the firm of Gleason, Flynn, Emig, Fogleman & McAfee, Chtd. for the past 30 years where he has been a partner since 1996. His practice areas include commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, and criminal defense. Prior to joining private practice, he worked as an assistant public defender in Montgomery County. Mr. Fogleman has also served as a court-appointed mediator. He received his B. A. from King’s College, magna cum laude, and his J.D. from Washington College of Law, American University.
LaTina Burse Greene has worked for the Social Security Administration for the past 17 years. Since 2013, she has served as an Administrative Appeals Judge with the agency. Prior to joining the Social Security Administration, Ms. Greene worked as an attorney with the Baltimore City Department of Law, and worked in private practice as an associate at Ober, Kaler, Grimes and Shriver. She received her B.S. from the University of Baltimore, magna cum laude, and obtained her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law, with honors.
