Governor Larry Hogan Announces Baltimore County Judicial Appointments
Fills Two Vacancies on the Circuit Court for Baltimore County
ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Larry Hogan today announced the appointments of C. Carey Deeley, Jr. and Dennis M. Robinson, Jr. to the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. The governor made the appointments after reviewing nominees from the judicial nominating commission for Baltimore County.
“After conducting a thorough vetting process, I am confident that Mr. Deeley and Mr. Robinson are the most qualified candidates to fill these vacancies,” said Governor Hogan. “Their wealth of legal knowledge and experience have prepared them well to be strong advocates for justice for the people of Baltimore County.”
C. Carey Deeley, Jr. is a partner at Venable, LLP, where he has practiced since 1989. His practice is focused on commercial, product liability, and personal injury litigation. Mr. Deeley clerked for Judge Brizendine of the Circuit Court of Baltimore County. He also practiced at Cook, Howard, Downes & Tracy from 1980-1989. Mr. Deeley holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia. He received his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
Dennis M. Robinson, Jr. has been a partner at Whiteford, Taylor and Preston, LLP since 2011, having served as an associate at the firm from 2006-2011. His practice focuses on product liability and business litigation. Previously, Mr. Robinson spent five years as a litigation associate at the Baltimore branch of Hogan & Hartson, LLP. Mr. Robinson holds a B.A. from Towson University. He received his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
