Governor Larry Hogan Visits U.S. Embassy in Israel
Governor Meets with U.S. Chargé d’Affaires, Addresses Israeli and Maryland Officials
ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Larry Hogan today met with U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Leslie Tsou, a senior official under U.S. Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro, at a reception hosted at the U.S. Embassy in Israel. Governor Hogan and Chargé d’AffairesTsou delivered remarks to key Israeli and Maryland business leaders and officials and discussed economic development opportunities for Maryland. Ambassador Shapiro was out of the country attending a conference at the United Nations.
“I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Chargé d’Affaires Tsou and the U.S. Embassy for hosting this event in support of Maryland’s efforts to strengthen economic ties with Israel,” Governor Hogan said. “Expanding our global footprint is an integral part of our state’s future success. Maryland has a great deal to offer, and Israel is the perfect partner.”
Governor Hogan has been in Israel since Tuesday as part of a weeklong economic development trade mission. He is leading a delegation of state officials, business leaders, and Jewish community leaders.
